Privacy Policy

Information Collected

We receive, collect and store any information you enter on our website or provide us in any other way. In addition, we collect the Internet protocol (IP) address used to connect your computer to the Internet; login; e-mail address; password; computer and connection information and purchase history. We may use software tools to measure and collect session information, including page response times, length of visits to certain pages, page interaction information, and methods used to browse away from the page. We also collect personally identifiable information (including name, email, password, communications); payment details (including credit card information), comments, feedback, product reviews, recommendations, and personal profile.

How is the Information Collected?

When you conduct a transaction on our website, as part of the process, we collect personal information you give us such as your name, address and email address. Your personal information will be used for the specific reasons stated above only.

Why Do we Collect Personal Information?

Driver Records and CDL Training Information

In connection with CDL training, TGA Truck Driving School also collects and handles records that are subject to additional federal and state rules:

  • Motor Vehicle Records (MVR) obtained from the California DMV or other state DMVs, with student authorization

  • DOT physical examination records and medical certificates, required by 49 CFR Part 391

  • Commercial Driver's License examination results, road test results, and instructor evaluations

  • FMCSA Drug & Alcohol Clearinghouse query results

  • Drug and alcohol testing results (pre-employment, random, post-accident, return-to-duty, follow-up, and reasonable-suspicion testing) under 49 CFR Parts 40 and 382

These records are collected only with appropriate student consent and are handled according to federal and state requirements, including the Driver's Privacy Protection Act (DPPA) for DMV-sourced records and FMCSA confidentiality requirements for drug, alcohol, and Clearinghouse data. We do not sell or share these records for marketing purposes. Disclosure is limited to:

  • Regulatory and government authorities, including the California DMV and the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration

  • Prospective employers, when authorized in writing by the student

  • Service providers (such as drug-testing laboratories and medical examiners) bound by confidentiality obligations

  • Other parties as required by law

We collect such Non-personal and Personal Information for the following purposes:

  1. To provide and operate the Services;

  2. To provide our Users with ongoing customer assistance and technical support;

  3. To be able to contact our Visitors and Users with general or personalized service-related notices and promotional messages;

  4. To create aggregated statistical data and other aggregated and/or inferred Non-personal Information, which we or our business partners may use to provide and improve our respective services; 

  5. To comply with any applicable laws and regulations.

How do we store, use, share and disclose your site visitors' personal information?


Our company is hosted on the Wix.com platform. Wix.com provides us with the online platform that allows us to sell our products and services to you. Your data may be stored through Wix.com’s data storage, databases and the general Wix.com applications. They store your data on secure servers behind a firewall. 

All direct payment gateways offered by Wix.com and used by our company adhere to the standards set by PCI-DSS as managed by the PCI Security Standards Council, which is a joint effort of brands like Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Discover. PCI-DSS requirements help ensure the secure handling of credit card information by our store and its service providers.

How do we communicate with Site visitors?

SMS Text Messaging

If you provide your mobile phone number to TGA Truck Driving School, you consent to receive SMS text messages from us related to your enrollment, schedule, training program, and services.

  • Message frequency varies based on your enrollment status.

  • Message and data rates may apply.

  • You may opt out at any time by replying STOP to any message you receive from us. After you reply STOP, we will send one final confirmation message, and no further messages will be sent.

  • Reply HELP for help or call (323) 797-1841.

Phone numbers and SMS opt-in data are not shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing purposes.

We may contact you to notify you regarding your account, to troubleshoot problems with your account, to resolve a dispute, to collect fees or monies owed, to poll your opinions through surveys or questionnaires, to send updates about our company, or as otherwise necessary to contact you to enforce our User Agreement, applicable national laws, and any agreement we may have with you. For these purposes we may contact you via email, telephone, text messages, and postal mail.

If you are a California resident, the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) and California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA) give you the following rights:

  • Right to Know what categories of personal information we collect, use, and share

  • Right to Access the specific personal information we have about you

  • Right to Delete your personal information, subject to legal retention requirements

  • Right to Correct inaccurate personal information

  • Right to Limit Use of Sensitive Personal Information (including driver's license number, Social Security number, government IDs, and financial information)

  • Right to Opt Out of the sale or sharing of personal information: note that TGA does not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising

  • Right to Non-Discrimination: you will not be denied service or penalized for exercising any of these rights
