Aspiring truckers should be aware that local job opportunities for newly graduated commercial drivers can be limited and, in many cases, difficult to secure right after trucking school. The primary reason for this is the lack of commercial driving experience, which makes it too risky and cost prohibitive for smaller local and regional companies to hire new drivers. This doesn't mean it is impossible, but it is unlikely.
