Training programs comply with new Entry-Level Driver Training (ELDT) requirements

There is a great need for licensed commercial Class "A" drivers in today's fast paced and evolving transportation industry. The Bureau for Labor Statistics (BLS) projects a 4% growth in long-haul truck driving jobs between 2022 and 2030. 

Our commercial driver training programs help you obtain a commercial drivers license (A), with the appropriate endorsements (add-ons) that increase your earning potential.

All potential students should be prepared to perform the job duties of a cross-country truck-driver, which provides the adequate experience to transition into Southern California local and/or regional driving positions. 



Learning Outcomes

Upon completion of our CDL training programs, student-graduates will be able to

1. Demonstrate the necessary proficiency to sit and pass the State-administered Commercial Drivers License (CDL) road exam.

2. Transition their newly formed driving skills and credentials into entry-level truck-driver positions.

3. Demonstrate the necessary skills to safely inspect and operate a commercial motor vehicle (CMV) in addition to the job duties required by their new employer.

4. Possess the skill and knowledge to create upward mobility in the trucking industry.

Commercial Learners Permit Training

As part of our structured curriculum, TGA students still enjoy live classroom sessions that cover all the necessary topics necessary to pass their commercial learners permit exams, including General Knowledge, Air Brakes and Combination Vehicles.

The Montebello, California main campus also utilizes the use of our satellite campus in Downey, California (5 miles away) for hands-on behind-the-wheel training, including inspection training, backing skills and street/highway driving.
